Requisition ID: 282077 Relocation Authorized: National - Family Telework Type: Full-Time Office/Project Job Summary: Design / Selection / Engineering of Bulk Material Handling System and equipment selection, qualified to degree level. Candidate should have worked for execution of Basic/Conceptual Engineering, FEED, EPCM, EPC modes of execution for Indian and International projects. This position is for Senior Engineer - Bulk Material Handling, experience in bulk material handling systems of Medium to Large Metallurgical plants such as Pet coke, Coal, Bauxite, Iron/ Copper, Aluminum etc. The candidate shall be conversant with system design, equipment sizing and selection of Pneumatic handling system, vibrating feeders, crushers, Bucket Elevators, Belt/Screw conveyors, Rotary Driers, Belt/Apron Feeders, Drive system, FIPB Unloading and bagging station, Automatic storage, and Retrieval system (ASRS), cranes, hoists, etc. Major Responsibilities: Review of deliverables of Process Package. Ensuring quality for the deliverables/work done. Support project/proposal activities. Interaction with Global office/Home office (abroad), execute work on workshare mode. Supporting the project through construction and commissioning phases. Develop technical specifications for Equipment/Package. Review of specifications from Licensor/Client/PMC. Participating in IDC process. Interaction with Engineering disciplines, Clients/PMC, Bidders/Vendors. Design, preparation of MDS/Engineering drawings, MRQs. Review of Quotes, assessing deviations, raising of TQs, TBEs, MRPs. Review of VPs. Resolving Vendor/Site queries. Interaction with Inspection Agencies, Expeditors, other agencies for delivery of Equipment/Packages. Develop/assist in documentation for progress reporting. Implement/Capture Lesson Learnt. Active pursue of Value Engineering, design and cost optimization program. Travel to help activities at other engineering offices, supplier’s works, construction sites. Education and Experience Requirements: Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university and 11+ years of relevant work experience. The Mechanical Engineer will work as part of Global Bechtel team and should have basic flair for working with personnel of different nationalities. Should have a good proficiency for spoken and written English language. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Preparation of engineering concepts during preliminary design phases and presents these to client. Detail engineering for Material Handling System design and Equipment Engineering. Knowledge of different Process Licenser specific design requirements and construction features. Understanding of Inspection requirements. Review of shop and site test procedures. Understand various types of materials to be used for different services and review of vendor proposed materials. Good knowledge of 2-D and 3-D computer aided design tools. Knowledge of other industry/regulatory codes and standards like CEMA, MSHA, OSHA, ISO, DIN, Licensor & Client specifications etc. Familiarity with model reviews and use of SPR is desirable. Broad working knowledge of the principles and practices of executing large projects. Ability to quickly provide data for carrying out preliminary detailing/estimation by Mechanical and other Engineering disciplines. Trouble shooting, resolution of Client and site queries. Knowledge & assessment of Suppliers capabilities. Ability to coordinate work with other engineering disciplines and other stakeholders including other offices. Good oral as well as written communication skills are essential.
